Over time, landscapes change, making it very difficult to find a vanished village in a vast field. This poses significant obstacles for local historians and antique enthusiasts. Vetus Maps solves this problem! Now, all the necessary antique county and guberniya maps are available on your smartphone. The app allows you to overlay an antique map onto a modern one and use it for GPS navigation in the area.

Antique maps depict a large number of different objects, making them a valuable source of toponymic data since many names have been partially lost today and cannot be found on any large-scale topographic map. Even in our time, many years later, these maps can be relied upon for navigating rural areas with a fair degree of confidence.
Old maps - Schubert, Mende, RKKA, PGM, etc., are always available in offline mode, while satellite maps require an internet connection. Placing a marker is done by long-pressing on the map.
