Vetus Maps solves this problem! Now, all the necessary antique county and guberniya maps are available on your smartphone. The app allows you to overlay an antique map onto a modern one and use it for GPS navigation in the area.

Antique maps depict a large number of different objects, making them a valuable source of toponymic data since many names have been partially lost today and cannot be found on any large-scale topographic map. Even in our time, many years later, these maps can be relied upon for navigating rural areas with a fair degree of confidence.
Old maps - Schubert, Mende, RKKA, PGM, etc., are always available in offline mode, while satellite maps require an internet connection. Placing a marker is done by long-pressing on the map.
